Civic Center, Castell-Platja d'Aro

The new civic center of Castell d'Aro has an area of ​​about 1,500 m² distributed over two floors, where there is a large multipurpose room, other smaller rooms, spaces for organizations, library services, IT and an area for seniors. The building's conception recalls the tower of a castle expanded horizontally, where gigantic battlements channel free spaces with glass windows to favor the entry of light to the upper floor.
An innovative construction system based on high-tech wood has been used. The plant cover allows high energy efficiency.
